We signed up for Taste Buds kids class that offers 1 child to 1 parent to bake π© donuts. It was a treasure hunt theme donut cooking class. This class was perfect for my two kids. They love donuts and cooking so this was a great fit for us.
The kids couldnβt be happier at this activity at Taste Buds. They each got little Taste Buds aprons and their own colored dish ware with the exact amounts of each ingredient already measured out for them. This saved tons of time and avoided lots of spills. My kids each got to crack their own eggs. They love doing that! They mixed, poured, scooped and decorated all by themselves. Once the donuts were ready to go in the oven, the staff had a special book ready to read to the kids at the front window where everyone gathered around to listen pulling up chairs. After story time, the staff dispensed each child a orange juice and a blue tab. The kids were to make βPirate Juiceβ to go with the treasure hunt themed donuts. They put the blue tab inside the OJ which fizzed a bit and turned green. They told us it was powdered lemonade mix, food coloring and baking soda. It was a fun touch that the kids enjoyed.
Another cute aspect that was also part of the theme was how they hid small treasure chests in the class for the kids to find. These treasure chests had the sprinkles inside them for the kids to put on their donuts. My kids loved finding the chests and even took them home as small souvenirs.
At the end of the Taste Buds class, the kids were able to eat their donuts or take them home. They were given to-go containers to put them in. Both kids keep saying how much they loved the class and they both seem to think that the location just makes donuts π. So you know, they do everything. They offer adult classes, kids classes, school vacation camps and summer camps. My parents went to an Indian cooking class and they also loved it! We would highly recommend this location for kids who enjoy helping in the kitchen or families that want their kids to learn how to cook. π

The Skinny:
- Weather :Β This is an indoor location so it doesn’t matter much
- Parking and Admissions : FREE parking and the class prices vary.Β Our class was $40 for each pair of child : parentΒ
- Location : Indoor cooking classes for all ages that are fun and hands-on
- Hours : 9am-10 pm daily but must pre-register for the classes you want to take
- Duration : We spent about an hour and a half here
- Tips and Recommendations : as I mentioned before, you have to pre-register for the classes.Β They do book up with COVID limitations on sizes so I would make sure you check earlyΒ on in the month if you are looking for a specific food or date / time.
