Lavender Pond Farm is serine and the lavender was fragrant especially in the shop.Β  We went on a Monday and I didn’t realize that the train does not function Mondays and Tuesdays or I would have picked another day.Β  It seemed like we did all of the things we could do in a very short amount of time and that was a bummer for us because it took more time to drive there for us than the actual time we spent at this location. There were chickens to see, giant chess props, a lovely and large gazebo, bees with hives for admiring from a far, a lavender shop, a peaceful walkΒ  around the pond that had a small fairy garden set up and a covered bridge.Β  Another item to admire was the solar smart flower.Β  It was interesting to see because it isn’t that big but powers the entire place? Amazing and great for them!Β  I did want to learn more about the bees and the lavender process (they have a alembic still for distilling the lavender hydrosol and essential oil) but all of that info would be provided on the purple train ride.Β  I really wish we went there on a day it was running.Β  It wasn’t even available to see-I asked.Β  Take this lesson from me, and go on the other days if you have hopes of learning a bit more.Β  I’m sure the whole process is very interesting.

this is a specialty here. You have to like honey to like it. It is good but doesn’t taste like any other lemonade I’ve ever tried. I didn’t notice the lavender because the honey was father strong

This is the stunning covered bridge. Jewel was happy to see it at first and then when she was on it she was sad she couldn’t see the water. The windows were too high for her.

The Skinny:

    • Weather : It has to be a nice day because it is completely outside
    • Parking and Admissions : Β FREE parking and admissions here.Β  You only pay for the goods you want and the train ride if you car to partake in that.
    • Location : Lavender Pond Farm is a working lavender farm with a short walk around the pond and under a beautiful covered bridge the property is 25 acres
    • Hours : 10-4 daily with train rides only provided Wednesday-Sunday rain or shine
    • Duration : We spent 1 hour or so here and we finished everything.Β  We didn’t sit and eat or go on the train ride so I’m sure if you do that you would be there for longer.Β  I would go back to get a more informative tour.
    • Tips and Recommendations : Leashed Dogs are welcomed. The cost for the lavender goods was pretty reasonable.Β  We purchased a lip balm ( I love it ) , 2 lavender honey lemonades, and 2 butterfly garden steaks for about $32.Β  I think that’s not bad at all considering this is a specialty store.Β  You can buy directly from their website too.
