Lyman Orchards is Perfect for family Fun
We love Lyman Orchard. It is the perfect place for fall and the growing season in general. If I stayed any longer, I would have eaten everything is sight. I really love in-season fruits and veggies so I literally salivate while at farms with ripe, fresh goods galore. Lyman Orchard is quite abundant in all things delicious. Good thing I just ate lunch before visiting π€£.Β Your kids will enjoy the cider donuts and apple cider.Β Jewel said it was the best juice she ever had and kept asking for more!
Lyman Orchards has a vast variety of you pick options
If you and the kids like picking fruit, the beautiful orchards have so many varieties of pick your own items.Β In October you will find apples and pumpkins but keep this farm in mind throughout the rest of the growing season for other fresh and local offerings.Β For instance, Lyman Orchard is the only orchard where we picked our own peaches!Β Β Β
The Corn Maze is worth the hype
The highlight for us is the corn maze. We had never been to one during the day. This one is perfect with it’s 3 age-based questions of clues and numbered posts. The kids loved climbing the wooden look-out bridges and running under them. They really let out a lot of kid energy here. I adored the inspiring and informative plaques posted throughout the maze. It makes for great, quick reading material while navigating through the maze.Β
Themes of the maize change year to year.Β In the past when we visited we saw how healthcare workers helped so much throughout history. We also saw famous quotes from Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa and numerous others that encouraged us to ponderΒ our generosity to fellow mankind. The visit through the corn maize left me feeling optimistic and moved β€οΈ I didnβt expect a corn maze to be so profound! ππΌπΒ Of course this was something the kids had no idea about as they happily raced around the paths but that’s okay as long as they become appreciative and compassionate adults!Β Lyman Orchard had a Rock themed corn maze in the past as well but, we never got there to see that one first-hand.Β This year’s theme is The Wizard of Oz which sounds exciting.
Lyman Orchard is more than just orchards
Lyman Orchards is one of the best farms we have ever been to.Β It has everything on its vast grounds you could want!Β Throughout the year you can check out their array of special events they offer and plan your visit based on your preferences.Β We hope you love visiting no matter the season!Β Please let us know what you think…..
