Confreda Farms is fantastic.Β  They offer numerous family activities throughout the year.Β  The kids and I loved poking around in the greenhouse and the market.Β  The greenhouse has beautiful fall arrangements and flowers along with dΓ©cor and fun items you may not “need” but find yourself buying anyways.Β  We purchased the cutest pumpkin kits that were a hit with both kids.Β  The market has yummy pies along with other made-on-site fresh foods.Β  We tried the chocolates and the corn was so delicious.

During fall, pumpkin picking the corn maze, the hay rides and other festivities Confreda Farm are buzzing with happiness.Β  My kids enjoyed finding all the numbered posts and finding their ways out of the corn field.Β  On the way to the corn maze, field-goers ride a tractor pulled hay wagon in order to get to the field where they select pumpkins and enter the corn maze.Β  The way there offers views of the Scary Acres activity they hold once night falls.Β  There are many props set up that are “scary” with skeletons, clothes lines with hanging clothes and other oddities that look somewhat abandoned.Β  I haven’t been to the nighttime event because I have the kids and being scared makes me too anxious, I don’t really want to pay for that experience when I generally try to avoid the feeling in its entirety-lol.

The kids seemed pretty happy with the day time activities they did anyways. That’s all that matters.Β

During their Fall Festival, you can find carnival rides, games, and seasonal foods such as doughboys, apple cider slushies and donuts, popcorn and more in addition to the normal market and greenhouse.Β

A classic swing ride, just beware of the very muddy ground from the recent rain. This event is typically held on dirt like you see here so, wear washable sneakers.

The corn maze was fun although we didn’t find questions to guide us on the direction to turn, we did find numbers along the way to help us out!

The Skinny:

  • Weather : The activities are outdoors so if you plan on picking pumpkins or the corn maze you obviously want a dry day.Β  If you intend to just head to the market or greenhouse it doesn’t matter much as they are indoors.
  • Parking and Admissions : FREE and plentiful parking.Β  The corn maze and hayride is $10 per person age 3 and up.Β  Pumpkins are priced depending upon their weight.
  • Location : Confreda Farms is a farm located in Western Cranston / Hope that offers a market for fresh goods, prepared foods and sweets with meats and dairy as well.Β  Also there is a green house with seasonal dΓ©cor and beautiful plants.Β  They offer Halloween activities such as hayrides, pumpkin picking and a Scary Acre night time hayride (only runs on Friday-Sunday dusk -10:30.Β Β
  • Hours : Monday – Friday 10am to 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4:30
  • Duration : We spent 1 hour or so here on the first day we went here when the fall activities were not yet opened.Β  The next time we went to the corn maze and hayride along with the market we probably spent 2 and a half hours here.
  • Tips and Recommendations :Β  We were filthy from being in the corn maze.Β  Especially my 3 year old son.Β  The grounds there are soft dirt paths so it is just dusty as you walk.Β  My son kept tripping over his feet, rocks, corn roots-really anything and everything so he was just on another level of dirty, don’t wear white shoes!Β  Wear comfy walking shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.Β  Try the pie.Β  I heard the apple is amazing but, when we went it was sold out.Β  The fruits of forest was quite good, especially warmed up with ice cream on the side.
