The kids and I love The Butterfly Place.Β Something about beautiful flowers, warm temperatures and colorful butterflies all around you is very special and magical.Β Not only is it a sight to see the indoor atrium, but the kids love to watch the butterflies and even learn more about them.
We learned that certain butterflies only lie eggs on certain plants.Β We saw Mexican Jumping beans, Lady Bug pupa (which I never even knew existed), bee hives, Chinese Painted Quails, and various cocoons and chrysalis.Β This location was fun, beautiful and educational all under one roof.
The kids were really drawn to the fairy garden.Β They liked them so much that Jacquie, one of the ladies that runs the place, was kind enough to give the 3 girls in our group their own fairy to take home.Β My son even received a Beatle with a magnetic back and legs that jiggle when you move him around!Β I mean, how sweet is that?Β Β The 2 ladies Jacquie and Anna that we met were very kind, friendly and informative.Β They shared with us upcoming events, information about the butterflies we were looking at and other odds and endsΒ while visiting The Butterfly Place.Β They were even so kind as to give us a recommendation to a local kid friendly restaurant. I don’t know about you, but I love supporting great businesses with staff that go above and beyond to ensure that you have a superb experience.Β They deserve it!
While at the Butterfly Place, The kids were delighted to count the fairies, see their fairy homes, watch the quails and their chicks run around squeaking and hopeful to have a butterfly land on them!Β My son was the lucky one that did get a butterfly on the head.Β He didn’t realize it until it flew away though.Β At least I happened to get a quick picture of it as evidence.Β He kept asking to see the photo again and again.Β Such an exciting occurrence for a 4 year oldΒ boy!
