A visit to Story Land for my kids ages 3 and 5 this was pretty perfect for them. They have not really been on rides before, the closest they came to was at Chuck E Cheese.Β So I donβt really count that as a true amusement park. The day we went, it was mostly overcast and got sunnier throughout the afternoon. So it was pretty comfortable for waiting in lines.
Story Land has small playgrounds and kids structures the kids can play on.Β There are also characters that greet the children and farm animals in the park that coincide with nursery rhymes.
Our favorite rides were the two water rides we went on-Dr. Geyser’s Remarkable Raft Ride and Bamboo Chutes, the Polar Coaster which doesn’t go upside down ( watch the video below ), the Cuckcoo Clockenspiel and the Turtle Twirl which are both spinning rides. The kids also thoroughly enjoyed the antique cars and the tractors because they got to “drive” their own vehicles .
The park has plenty of food stations and locations to eat.Β Although we never had a sit down meal at the park, the kids likes the snacks and snow cone drinks they tried.
The kids both loved driving their own antique cars. Jamison even made mom sit in the back!
Also various characters on the rides and throughout the park were fun for my kids like a talking flower, and the Cat from Alice in Wonderland on the tea cup ride. We really enjoyed the dino dig activity where we dug for dinosaur fossils in the sand and the fun-sized diggers that we controlled to scoop dirt with!
visitors can take pictures and get their “licenses” nearby the antique carsThis is the Loopy lab and OMG is it a good time. The kids and adults can take foam balls and shoot them at one another, throw them and watch them fly around…such fun chaos!Jewel enjoyed using the air gun but would run out of foam balls so my husband and son would throw balls up to her on the second floor and then she could shoot them down. It was a great method!when we re-vistied at almost 9 and almost 6, the kids still had a great time so a visit until early teens will still be fun.Β Β This is the clockenspiel ride. The kids were so happy to get their snow cones. They come in a rainbow of flavors and are made to order. Nothing like liquid sugar at an amusement park.one of the kids’ favorite rides at Story Land is the Cuckoo Clockenspiel that spins.Β you can spin it even faster by turning the center wheelWe rode the train which passed the rap-tour safari.Β it is short and sweet with a scavenger hunt geared toward young dinosaur lovers.the staff here was so sweet to the kids always asking them questions and smiling, very helpful! a good idea to have an overview of the park is toΒ ride the train early on in the day.Β we did it toward the end of the day and saw places we would have liked to visit but didn’t know about them. This was the tractors, see the hi-speed video below of the ride.Another driving car the kids loved-the antique cars. they each had to steer their own vehicle of course!the pretty and cheerful, inviting stores here in Story Land in soft pastels.Β the kids loved it!In Story Land, The landscape and flowers are spectacular. We saw several butterflies adding to the FANTASY like kids attraction! The kids loved the Flying Fish ride that was like a giant swing you could steerΒ fish to left or right. This was us on the Turtle Twirl-another spin ride!Β This was the kids’ first amusement park at ages 3 and 5.Β It was a good age for this park! The dinosaur dig for skeleton fossilsthe polar Coaster, watch the video below for a real life experience. This ride was very pretty, we didn’t go on it because we just weren’t hot and it looked like a soaker! it’s called Splash Battle: Pharaoh’s Reign. The story book animals portion of the park with various children’s classics and their animal counterparts close by. This is so cute for the Three Little Pigs. Sadly, it’s not a petting zoo so you can just look but I did want to cuddle these little piglets! The iconic Humpty Dumpty statue in the start of the park. My kids were creeped out and wouldn’t really pose for a good picture with him. His eyes move back and forth and if you push a bitton it talks. can you blame them for being nervous? lolThe kids watching people on the rides and seeing who gets wet
