What we loved about North Kingstown PlaygrounD
The playground here at North Kingstown Beach is great! It’s new, clean, modern and packed to the brim with so much fun for kids of all ages to enjoy.
The beach backdrop is the cherry on top for us. The playground itself is amazing but add in the gorgeous views and workout equipment, I’m sold every time! I’m sure most parents would agree.
The kids and I visited in December. It was a beautifully sunny day. Despite the cold, the kids could have stayed here all day enjoying the playground. I had some errands to run so we called it quits after about an hour. I can only imagine how busy and fun this playground would be for kids at the height of the summer to have both the beach and playground side by side, I imagine the kids to be over the moon!

- Weather : Any day where you and the kids would be comfortable to be outside would be ideal. Keep in mind that this is a coastal playground so it may be windy compared to other outdoor inland activities.
- Parking and Admissions: North Kingstown Town Beach shares a road to this playground’s parking lot. The playground has its own parking lot that is large. It is FREE to enter this playground and park here too.
- Location : This beautiful, modern and elaborate playground sits along the coastline and creates a relaxing atmosphere for kids and their parents to enjoy. It has a large structure for older kids and a smaller sail boat structure for younger kids. There are unique swings and spinning fixtures too. Bathrooms are available but were closed due to the off season at the beach I’m assuming. The beach has outhouses at the far end of the parking lot if they are needed. Beautiful sea creature murals are so intriguing for all to enjoy. My kids loved them. There is a few pieces of workout equipment here for adults but as you can see, the kids like to try them out too.
- Hours : Sunrise to sunset daily
- Duration : The kids spent only an hour or so here since I had to go run errands
- Tips and Recommendations : Take pictures, the view is amazing and plan on a breeze, bring jackets.

While in North Kingstown, if you are looking for more fun, try Biomes which is a small hands-on educational aquarium. If you want another playground to enjoy, visit Wilson Park. If your kids are into biking and hiking, you should try Ryan Park.
