Conimicut Point Park has a beach that is beautiful with a rocky (shelly) shore. Despite that, itโs panoramic views are gorgeous. Itโs called a point because itโs actually a peninsula you can see water on 3 sides! You can see the light house in the background and several sailboats, kayaks, jet skis and motor boats in the distance.
My kids loved this beach for itโs small waves. They love to swim but the large waves tend to intimidate them. This beach has very small waves and my kids felt perfectly comfortable in the water themselves. I love that because that is where they are happiest at the beach and my stamina for staying in the water is small in comparison to theirs.๐ย I will say the undertow here is known to be strong at times so definitely you need to be careful here while in the water.
There are restrooms, a New England Lemonade truck, and a decent sized playground with some paved walkways throughout the park, fixed tables with chairs and benches for soaking in the beauty around you. There is plenty of open space for recreation as well.
We saw numerous fishermen, families and dogs on leashes here.

The Skinny:
- Weather : It has to be a nice day because it is outside
- Parking and Admissions : FREE parking and admissions -plenty of spaces super close to the beach, there is a short dirt path to walk on and you are at the sand.
- Location : This is a park with a playground, a beach, sandbar, and open recreational space. Activities here include: fishing, swimming, kayaking and recreation.
- Hours : Dawn to dusk daily
- Duration : We spent 2 hours or so here. We could spent more time if we packed lunch and went on the playground.
- Tips and Recommendations : Leashed dogs are welcomed
