Such a cool low key spot great for kids and leashed dogs. Supposedly there are quite often wildlife sightings here but we saw only geese and a pair of π¦ ducks. I was hoping for beavers, deer or moose but with two Tasmanian devil kids itβs to be expected that the animals hide since they are forewarned π€£.
We met a dog walker who was friendly and told us the snakes usually sunbath by the rocks and she saw moments prior.Β They can camouflage so well but we didnβt see them. There was evidence of beavers though with the rounded stumps of trees.

The Skinny:
- Weather : It has to be a nice day because it is outside.
- Parking : FREE parking and entrance
- Location : wetlands providing habitats for many different types of wildlife. Wooded planked bridges throughout to provide a boardwalk over the water and muddy areas. Some rocky areas for jumping on-not too challenging very kid friendly, easy hike in a loop!Β A very informative trail guide on line here.Β Β A mile long loop.Β This property is 43 acres large.
- Hours :Β Day light 365 days of the year
- Duration : We spent about an hour here exploring and we didnβt see much wildlife sadly. But it was still a fun spot to explore.
- Tips and Recommendations : Leashed Dogs are welcomed.
- Cons : Some of the planks need replacing but it looked as though they would be doing that soon because there was a pile of boards in the lot.
